What to Expect

  • Consultation: Your provider at our med spa in San Antonio will discuss your goals, evaluate your facial features, and develop a customized treatment plan designed to complement your natural proportions.
  • Treatment: A topical numbing cream may be applied prior to treatment, and most fillers contain lidocaine to improve comfort throughout the procedure. Filler is strategically placed and most appointments take 45-60 minutes. To make your experience as comfortable as possible, we also offer the Beauty Bar comfort device and Pro-Nox™ (“laughing gas”), an optional self-administered treatment that can help reduce anxiety and discomfort during your appointment.
  • Recovery: Mild swelling, tenderness, or bruising may occur following treatment and typically resolve within several days. Most clients return to normal activities right away, though we recommend avoiding strenuous exercise, excessive heat, alcohol, and prolonged sun exposure for approximately 24 hours.

Most clients are surprised by how subtle lip filler can be. Our goal is balanced, natural-looking enhancement that complements your features rather than overpowering them.

Once fully healed, lip filler should feel soft and natural. Mild swelling and firmness are common immediately after treatment but typically improve as the filler settles.

A lip flip uses a small amount of Botox to relax the muscle above the upper lip, causing it to subtly roll outward for a fuller appearance – without adding volume. Lip filler adds shape, structure, and volume directly to the lips. Some clients choose one or the other depending on their goals, while others benefit from combining both treatments.

We generally recommend scheduling treatment at least 2-4 weeks before a major event to allow time for swelling or bruising to fully resolve.
