Aging isn’t just about wrinkles – it’s also about the gradual loss of collagen that gives skin its structure and support. Sculptra® works beneath the surface to stimulate your body’s natural collagen production, helping restore volume, improve skin quality, and create results that develop gradually and naturally over time.
What is Sculptra?
Unlike traditional fillers that provide immediate volume, Sculptra is a collagen-stimulating injectable that helps your body rebuild its own support structure over time. As collagen production increases, skin appears firmer, fuller, and more youthful-looking with results that develop gradually and naturally.

What to Expect
- Consultation: Your provider at our San Antonio med spa will evaluate areas of volume loss, facial structure, and overall skin quality to determine if Sculptra is the right approach for your goals. Because Sculptra works by stimulating collagen, treatment plans are often developed over a series of sessions.
- Treatment: Sculptra is strategically injected into areas experiencing collagen and volume loss to help rebuild the skin’s underlying support structure. Most appointments take approximately 45-60 minutes. To maximize comfort, topical numbing may be used, and we offer both the Beauty Bar comfort device and optional Pro-Nox™ during treatment.
- Recovery: Mild swelling, redness, tenderness, or bruising may occur and typically improve within several days. Most clients return to normal activities immediately, though strenuous exercise, excessive heat, alcohol, and prolonged sun exposure should be avoided for the first 24 hours.Following treatment, you’ll be asked to follow the Sculptra “5-5-5 Rule” by massaging the treated areas for 5 minutes, 5 times per day, for 5 days to help ensure even product distribution and optimal results.

Sculptra FAQS
How is Sculptra different from dermal filler?
Traditional fillers replace lost volume immediately. Sculptra works by stimulating your body’s natural collagen production, creating gradual improvement over time.
What is collagen and why does it matter?
Collagen is a protein that provides structure, firmness, and support to the skin. As we age, collagen production naturally declines, contributing to volume loss, skin laxity, and visible signs of aging.
How many Sculptra treatments will I need?
Treatment recommendations vary based on your age, collagen loss, and goals. Many clients benefit from a series of treatments spaced several weeks apart.
