Wrinkle Reduction

While the eyes may be the window to your soul, your skin is the portal to self-confidence.

At Parkhurst Luxe Medical Spa, we want you to live a confident, fulfilling life every day and look as good as you feel.

To help you achieve that, we start every skin consultation using state-of-the-art imaging technology including VISIA® Skin Analysis which allows us to see beneath the surface. This is like an MRI of your skin that will provide skin type classification that informs and personalizes the best treatment approach to meet your goals.

This sophisticated diagnostic technology reads, maps and tracks several key influencers of the appearance and health of your skin, some of which are:

  • Wrinkles
  • Skin Texture
  • Pore size
  • Sun damage
  • Redness

With this objective, detailed information, and our medical team’s expertise, we’ll find the treatment plan that will yield the best results for you, helping you turn back the effects of time on your skin.

Our Wrinkle Reducing Treatment Options

Our patients come to Parkhurst Luxe Medical Spa because they want the most advanced and flexible wrinkle treatment options available. Depending on your skin’s unique characteristics, your treatment plan may include one or more of these proven effective wrinkle-reduction methods.

  • Botox® | Botox wrinkle treatment involves using neurotoxins (Tox) to temporarily relax or paralyze the muscles that contribute to lines and wrinkles.

Neurotoxins work best when used early to prevent lines from forming. They can also be used in combination with other treatments to soften, or even erase, your existing wrinkles.

In addition to Botox, Parkhurst Luxe Medical Spa offers Dysport, Daxify, Xeomin, and Jeuveaux neurotoxins to reduce and prevent wrinkles.

  • Dermal Fillers | Fillers such as hyaluronic acid offer a safe and immediate short-term solution to volume loss. When strategically applied under the skin, dermal fillers plump up deep furrows to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Gentle dermal fillers can be combined with other treatments such as neurotoxins to reduce existing lines and help prevent new ones.
  • Sculptra | Sculptra, or polylactic acid, is a type of filler that stimulates your skin to regenerate your natural collagen and elastin to subtly increases volume and fullness in the face. This helps plump up your skin, thereby reducing the appearance of wrinkles. It also gives the skin a healthy glow!
  • PDO Threads | Like Sculptra, polydioxanone (PDO) threads are injected into your skin to stimulate your own natural skin-plumping collagen and elastin production, skin regeneration, and cellulite reduction.
  • PRP | This permanent treatment for wrinkles uses your own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injected into deeper layers of skin to help your body naturally produce more age-defying collagen.

Our patients typically experience peak results a few months after their wrinkle reduction treatment.

After that, they follow up with us for maintenance treatments every year or so to maintain the best results as the skin ages.

Botox (Tox) FAQS

What is Botox (Tox)?

Botox is a brand of neurotoxin, which is used to relax muscles below the skin to prevent wrinkles or reduce their appearance.  There are other highly effective neurotoxins on the market as well, including our other favorites Dysport, Daxify, Xeomin, and Jeuveaux.

Parkhurst Luxe Medical Spa has all of these brands on hand to tailor a treatment that is most appropriate for you.

How fast does Botox work?

Botox and other neurotoxins typically take effect within a week and reach peak effectiveness in about 30 days.  Treatment may soften existing lines but works best when started early as wrinkle prevention.

How long will the results of Botox last?

Typically, neurotoxins maintain effectiveness for three to six months; however, results may last longer for patients who keep up regular treatments.

What parts of the body can I get Botox in?

Botox has a variety of applications but is most commonly used to treat wrinkles in the face and neck.  This can include forehead wrinkles, crows feet, lip lines, chin dimples, frown lines and neck lines.

Dermal Filler FAQs

How do dermal fillers work?

Dermal fillers are an injectable wrinkle treatment. The filler, most commonly hyaluronic acid, is injected under the skin to plump up deep furrows for a more youthful look.  Fillers are a popular choice for creating fuller lips and cheeks, and filling hollow temples and tear troughs.  At Parkhurst Luxe Medical spa fillers are also used to help support bone loss to give more volume and structure to the jawline and cheekbones.

How soon will I see results from dermal fillers?

Results from dermal fillers are immediate and may continue to improve for days or weeks after treatment.

How long do the results from dermal filler last?

Dermal fillers can last anywhere from six months to two years.  How long the results last depends on the type of filler used, the injection location and the patient’s own health and skincare.

Sculptra FAQs

How does sculptra work?

Sculptra functions differently than other dermal filler.  Instead of immediate, volumizing, this filler stimulates the body to produce collagen and elastin.  This process can take about three months to gradually reduce wrinkles and volumize the face.

How soon does Sculptra start working?

Sculptra is delivered in multiple treatments several weeks apart.  Patients typically notice improvements within a few months.

How effective is the Sculptra wrinkle treatment?

Sculptra works over a larger area than other dermal fillers, making it highly effective at combatting facial volume loss as we age.  This treatment helps your own body replenish lost collagen and elastin to create a fresher, more youthful overall look.

How long do Sculptra results last?

While Sculptra doesn’t work as quickly as most dermal fillers, the collagen and elastin rejuvenation from the treatment is permanent.  After initial treatment, patients should receive annual maintenance treatments to counteract future volume loss.

PDO Threads FAQs

How do PDO Threads work?

PDO threads are inserted under the skin to provide an instant lift to the face, while also prompting the body to produce collagen and elastin in the weeks following the treatment.  This nonsurgical treatment is subtle.  Friends and family may notice you look years younger but still look like “you”.

How soon will I see results from PDO threads?

PDO threads provide and immediate subtle lift to the skin without the trauma of a surgical facelift.  Treatment takes about 30 minutes, and patients have little to no social downtime.

How long will my PDO threads last?

PDO threads are eventually absorbed by the body, usually after six months to a year, though they sometimes last longer.  In the meantime, your body will produce more collagen and elastin where the threads were placed, and those skin-plumping proteins are permanent.

PRP FAQs

How does PRP wrinkle treatment work?

PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma.  With PRP, your own blood is drawn and the plasma is separated from it and injected into the skin in higher concentrations than occurs naturally.

Plasma plays a vital role in healing; and when used this way, PRP increases tissue repair and collagen production.

How effective is plasma treatment for wrinkles?

PRP treatment results are subtle but quite effective.  Patients usually notice a more youthful, fresher look in the months after PRP injections.
